Palawan is one of the popular tourist destinations in the Philippines. While many of them journey north to visit San Vicente, or El Nido, we explore south. Our first destination is Quezon, Palawan home of the Tabon Caves where the earliest human remains called Tabon Man were discovered.

Tabon complex has various caves but the relics discovered here were already transferred in the National Museum of the Philippines in Manila. As of this writing, the Tabon Complex Team continues to discover new caves, but are not for public viewing yet.

If you have a heart for anthropology, then Tabon Complex is worth visiting. Sarang cave is my favourite. This is the largest cave we visited. It’s in the middle of the jungle and offers an astonishing sight of sunrays passing through a big hole in the ceiling. It looks like a place for worship. The inside is so peaceful and the vibes is very positive. It’s a happy place.
